The first edition of COLOR Week will give you the chance to learn more about and see the different street artworks that are distributed throughout the city. Within the community activities that will be held this week, Rubí Jove (Young Rubí) has organised two guided tours of the Street Art Route, which includes over 30 murals, the majority of which were graffitied by local artists.

The first tour will be on Wednesday, 24 March at 6pm, which will start from the Torre Bassas Youth Centre (Carrer Sabadell, 18). This first tour is for the general public and, to sign up for this free event, you just need to register in advance at the Rubí Jove website. Spaces are limited for safety reasons, but also to make sure that all participants can hear the explanations well.

The next day, Thursday, 25 March, there will be a second guided tour, this time designed for the elderly with the objective of introducing and explaining a culture to them that may often seem quite strange. The route, which will leave at 11am from Carrer General Prim, will be limited to the street art in the city centre, to ensure it is accessible to participants. The spaces are also limited for this tour. Please register in advance by contacting the Active Elderly Service at 637 83 10 92.

The team from Rubí Jove and one of the artists who worked on the mural for the Fem Graff initiative will be doing the tours. During the walk, participants will learn who the creators of the works are, delve deeper into the characteristics of the murals and the colors used to then reflect together on the reactions that they provoke.

Whoever is interested in learning more about the street artworks in the city can also read about them on the street art map on the municipal website or on the Rubí Ciutat (City) mobile app.
