Full Colors

Full Colors is the town’s open-air graffiti and urban art exhibition, framed within the Street Art project, whose aim is to change the town’s appearance through high-quality artistic interventions.

Rubí has hosted Full Colors since 2017, an initiative organised by Young Rubí, with the collaboration of the association Petados Crew. Full Colors imbues vacant and unused points in the town with lovely artistic value, promoting young people’s initiation into the world of graffiti as urban art, painting creations full of meaning.

4th edition: 17 and 18 October 2020

Full Colors spread throughout the town. The fourth edition of this show included interventions at five different points: Plaz Josep Tarradellas (La Serreta), La Cruïlla Community Centre (El Pinar), the car park behind Rubí Forma (Les Torres), Club Frontennis Rubí (Ca n'Oriol) and Plaça Pla i Pallejà (centre). The painting by female graffiti artists group Fem Graff was added to the Francesc Calvo covered court.

3rd edition: 12 and 13 October 2019

35 graffiti artists painted murals on the walls surrounding Plaça Josep Tarradellas during the 3rd edition of the festival Full Colors. The initiative was alluring both to local and international artists alike, opening up this year to other groups by including new activities like a rap competition and family-friendly proposals.

2nd edition: 29 and 30 September 2018

Rubí strengthened its commitment to street art in the second edition of this event, with 30 plus top artists participating. The festival had a great impact, with a higher presence of artists from throughout Spain, as well as an increased number of visitors, including a few Instagrammers and graffiti fans interested in documenting this ephemeral art exhibition.

1st edition: 20 and 21 October 2017

The main wall of Plaça Josep Tarradellas changed its image for the very first time. Members of the town’s three street art associations –Petados Crew, Pressing Caps and 382 Room– and guest artists from round Spain and Europe were given the task of transforming this space for the first Full Colors. Neighbours expressed their great satisfaction with how the mural turned out and were excited they could watch the entire process close up. People of all ages flooded into the area to watch the artists’ work and the rest of the scheduled activities.
